FAQs

Do I have to come in for a planning appointment?

Yes! It is mandatory that you come into the studio for a pre-shoot planning appointment before I will even schedule a photoshoot.
I use this appointment to get to know you, and your family, and to start planning the shoot with you, we will go over location and clothing and I’ll be able to get a sense of what you want to do with your images. It’s also an opportunity to go over all of the different products available and talk about their pricing.

How much does a portrait session cost?

The portrait session fee is $150, from there cost depends on what you want to purchase. I will work with you to design a custom piece of artwork for your home which will take into account who’s been photographed, the sort of space you have for your artwork and most importantly your budget.

It’s important to me that you don’t feel pushed into buying something that you don’t want, need or can’t afford and I will show you products within your price range.

There is no minimum order but normally my families will spend around $1000 on their portraits.

Is there a minimum spend?

No! There is no minimum order or my portraits. Prints start from $100, and normally my families will spend around $1000 on their portraits.

Do you have AfterPay?

No, BUT I do offer flexible interest free payment plans! We can split your order up into weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments over 3 or 6 months (even 12 months if you ask nicely). And if you ask me, I’d say that’s better than AfterPay.

Can I purchase digital files?

You will receive a social media sized digital file of each image you purchase at no extra cost, these images are perfect for facebook/instagram/email, but are not print quality images. Alternatively you can purchase high resolution digital files.

How long does the session take?

I normally allow around 60-90 minutes for a portrait session, sometimes its quicker, sometimes it’s longer, it just depends on who we’re photographing. Small children will normally decide when the sessions over, and once they’re done there’s no bringing it back! I will NEVER leave a session without getting the images I know you want.

Can I bring my pets?

Umm Of Course!!! Pets are an important part of the family too, and if you can’t tell that I love photographing animals from my website and facebook page, you really haven’t been looking!!

I have a giftcard, when does it expire?

Your giftcard is valid for 6 months from the date you register it. I ask that you register the card within 7 days of receiving it.

Can I use multiple giftcards at once?

Unfortunately no, if you do have multiple giftcards, I am more than happy to extend the expiry of one for a further 12 months, so you can use them separately. Alternatively you may always pass one along to someone who would love to have their family photographed.

Can I use my giftcard for commercial photography?

No, your portrait photography giftcard can only be used for portrait photography. But if you have products, an event or staff members which you would like photographed, please get in touch. I only take on a few select commercial clients each year as I like to focus on my families.
