Sophie - Maternity session at Hawley Beach

I photographed Sophie for her maternity session at Hawley beach when she was around 34 weeks pregnant.

It had been raining the whole day, but somehow we managed to avoid the rain and get some blue skies in time for sunset.

Sophie’s dogs Lucy and Tom were super happy to be included in the shoot, although Tom was much more interested in exploring the beach then being a part of the photoshoot!

If you’re thinking about having maternity photos taken, I recommend scheduling it in around the 32-36 week mark. Maternity sessions are great because they’re likely the only time in your life you want to be “prime fattness” for your photos. This 32-36 week period is generally prime fatness, but not too late in your pregnancy that you risk going early and missing the shoot!
