✨ Life Lately: What’s New at Images by Samantha Kuruvita
It’s hard to believe it’s already June — and I’m just about ready to dust off the camera and welcome families back in front of my lens again! After a few lovely (and let’s be honest, sometimes chaotic) months on maternity leave, I’ll be officially returning to work in July… and I couldn’t be more excited to reconnect with you all.
While most of my time lately has been spent soaking up life with two little kids, I’ve also been slowly prepping behind the scenes — sprucing up the studio, setting new goals, and getting ready to step back into the rhythm of photographing families. I’ve even got some gorgeous new album samples arriving soon, and I can’t wait to show you what’s possible for your own family photos.
That said… I haven’t picked up my camera much lately. Except for one very special session: when my sister Laura and her husband Brenton welcomed their baby girl, Harper. She’s the only one I’ve been willing to photograph during this season, and I’ll be sharing her beautiful in-home newborn session on the blog very soon. [I’ll link it here once it’s live.]
With two little ones of my own now, time has taken on a whole new meaning — and running the business will look a bit different. I’ll be working three days a week, and weekend sessions will be more limited than before. But I’m more passionate than ever about helping families create lasting memories. I know how quickly these stages pass, and I want to help you hold onto them.
So, what’s coming up?
Bookings are officially open for July and beyond
Winter sessions are available — yes, even outdoors (there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing 😉)
In-home family sessions will be a bigger focus — these are perfect for capturing your kids in their own environment, favourite toys and all
And… I’ve got a little idea brewing for a single day of mid-winter studio mini sessions (still thinking it through, but it’s on my radar!)
