Halloween Photo shoot with Jess and Dexter

There’s nothing I love more than when someone comes to me with and idea which is a little left of center.

Jess is my muse. Anytime I have an idea she is the first one I go to to turn it into a reality and we work together really well.

We’d organised this shoot and maybe half an hour before we were scheduled to meet up it started POURING with rain. Jess had already finished her makeup and put in her single use contacts, so it was now or never!

As we headed over to Inveresk, it dawned on us that the area we had planned on using (which was sort of under cover) is now being used as a COVID-19 testing site, and there was no way for us to get in!

Our back up plan was being used by a local fitness group because of the rain, so we ended up just braving it and getting wet. We found a brick wall near where we had parked and did our best to get some images in the wet, and now fading light.

Creative shoots like this are usually something that I will do for fun, but I only take on projects if it sets my soul on fire. I love collaborating with other creative folk and making their vision come to life.

I recently binge watched Glow Up on Netflix, and it just made me want to photograph more creative work!
