Extended Family Portraits in Launceston
When was the last time you had a photograph with your whole family in it?
Maybe the youngest grandchild wasn’t born yet. Maybe the last one was at a wedding. Or maybe you have plenty of phone photos, but someone is always missing because they’re taking the picture.
As families grow, getting everyone together takes a little more organising. There are different households, work schedules, school holidays and sometimes a trip home to work around.
If Christmas or the months ahead will bring your family together, it’s a lovely opportunity to finally organise those photographs.
Your Extended Family Portrait Offer
I’m offering 10 extended families a portrait session with the following included:
Your photography session, with the usual $150 session fee waived.
One 10x7" matted print of your whole extended family, valued at $225.
A $100 print credit towards additional products of your choice.
Together, these inclusions are valued at $475.
We’ll photograph everyone together, as well as the smaller family groups and combinations that matter to you.
We’ll start with a planning appointment at my West Launceston studio to talk through your family, location, products and pricing before you decide whether to book.
Additional photographs and products are available to purchase at your viewing appointment, but there’s no minimum order.

Everyone together, and the little groups within it
The photograph of everyone together might be the reason you book, but there are usually other combinations you’d love too. Grandparents with their grandchildren. The adult siblings together. Each household with their own children.
We’ll talk through those at your planning appointment, so I know what matters to you before the day.
During the session, I’ll gently guide everyone and help keep things moving. There’s room for the kids to warm up, for a little silliness, and for photographs that feel like your family.
Hi, I’m Sam
I’m a family portrait photographer based in Launceston. I grew up around my parents’ photography studio, and now I help families create relaxed photographs they can enjoy in their homes.
Before your session, we’ll meet for a planning appointment to talk through your family, locations, products and pricing. Afterwards, I’ll help you choose your favourite photographs and what you’d like to do with them at your viewing appointment.

No, you don’t need to bring the whole extended family. It’s helpful to include the people involved in deciding about the session and any purchases. We can talk through who will be photographed and how to organise the day.

Yes. Alongside the whole extended family, we can photograph smaller family groups and combinations. We’ll discuss your priorities at the planning appointment.

No, there’s no minimum order. Your offer includes the photography session, one 10x7" matted print of the whole extended family and a $100 print credit towards additional products. We’ll go through the full product range and pricing at your planning appointment.

No. Photography must be completed by 30 April 2027. You can plan around Christmas gatherings, summer visits or the Easter school holidays, subject to appointment availability.

Absolutely adore all of our photos taken by Samantha! She’s been our family photographer for years and we wouldn’t go elsewhere!
